the snake said, Death will not certainly come to you:

5 For God sees that on the day when you take of its fruit, your eyes will be open, and you will be as gods, having knowledge of good and evil

But Noah had grace in the eyes of God

And God, looking on the earth, saw that it was evil: for the way of all flesh had become evil on the earth.
