Jules Price is an American author, singer, and dating coach. She is best known for her book Don’t Eat the Scraps (2019), a humorous guide for women navigating the early stages of relationships. She is also the founder and CEO of Dateable, a dating lifestyle brand offering coaching, courses, and live events.
Jules Price grew up near Washington, D.C. She studied Psychology and Music at Connecticut College, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduation, she moved to New York City and began a career in musical theatre. Over the next 15 years, she performed in musicals and operettas, including the National and International Tour of The Sound of Music in the role of Maria.
The production travelled across the United States, Canada, and Korea. She later understudied Marie Osmond in the role during the tour of Singapore, Bangkok, and Hong Kong. Price also performed with the New York City Ballet as principal singer in West Side Story Suites.
After relocating to Sarasota, Florida, she founded a marketing business, providing her with a new platform to share personal development insights. For more than 20 years, she has worked as a coach, speaker, and trainer. Price is a corporate motivational trainer, voiceover artist, and dating coach for a national matchmaking company. She has also been featured as a dating expert on ABC and appeared on lifestyle websites and podcasts.
Her first book, published in 2010, addressed relationships in business. Her second book, Don’t Eat the Scraps (2019), introduced her “Jules’ Rules” for success in dating. The work describes a pattern in men’s behaviour during the early weeks of a relationship. It guides women in recognising the pattern and adjusting their expectations.
Written with humour, the book aims to help readers avoid confusion and disappointment in dating while learning practical strategies. Price noted that the book was “for women only,” since awareness of these behaviours by men could change the dynamic.
In the 2020s, she launched Dateable, a platform combining coaching, membership, and events to help people become more confident and successful in dating. She describes her philosophy as encouraging people to “listen to life.”
