A word—many people spend their entire professional lives hoping to say; an opportunity to leave the rat race behind—while finally having the freedom to engage in their true passions—whatever those may be.
In the cases of Floyd Atwater and Joe Reddy, two black ops agents who have spent a lifetime teetering on the edge, retirement has a totally different connotation altogether.
Unlike them, the former third member of their triumvirate, Sam Wesley, chose to continue making his bones in the world of espionage. At his advancing age, the skills that once made Wesley untouchable in his youth—would ultimately prove to be the same ones that led to his demise.
As word spread regarding their buddy’s unfortunate end, Reddy and Atwater take it upon themselves to dig into the specifics, leading them to the charming yet dangerous São Paulo. Alas, the world they used to thrive in is no longer. The players are younger, hungrier and more cutthroat than ever before.
The two men are left with no choice but to throw caution to the wind—putting themselves face to face with their definition of retired once more. They’ve simply come too far not to see this through to the bitter end.
