When my stepdaughter asked if her own stepdaughter could stay with me while she attended a nearby college, I gladly said yes.
Being recently widowed and living alone, I gladly welcomed the young girl who would certainly give her lonely and bored step-grandmother some much needed company.
Pat was always kind of special to me. She did, after all, have the same name as me. Eighteen year old Pat would be living with fifty-eight year old Pat.
Everything was delightful for the first couple of weeks. Then came the boys.
