When forensic psychologist Dr. Mara Vexley wakes up in the hospital wing of an abandoned mental facility with no memory of how she got there, she’s told she was found wandering the island shoreline, barefoot and covered in blood. But the blood isn’t hers and the patient she was sent to evaluate, a mute serial arsonist named Jonas Vale, is missing. Mara begins to piece together fragments of her fractured memory as strange clues surface: cryptic journal entries in her handwriting, security footage that skips whenever Jonas appears, and a string of fires starting again across the mainland. The deeper she digs, the more she questions her sanity and whether she’s here to stop Jonas, or help him. But someone doesn’t want her to remember. And the island isn’t just isolated it’s rigged to trap anyone who tries to leave. As Mara’s mind begins to unravel, she must decide: is she the hunter… or the hunted?
