David Rogerson published Big Things in 2025. The novel follows Grover, a man with limited responsibilities, who suddenly becomes guardian to his niece and nephews. After a family tragedy, he takes the children on a road trip across Australia. The journey leads them to roadside attractions, eccentric characters, and a growing media spotlight. As they confront grief and uncertainty, Grover is forced to reconcile with his past. The story explores resilience, second chances, and unconventional family bonds.
Rogerson described the book as “full of humour, pop culture and heart.”
Later in 2025, he published Bigger Things. This sequel shifts focus to the extended Sullivan-Bishop family and their circle of friends. When they receive mysterious red parcels inviting them on a cruise, they expect leisure but instead face intrigue.
A shipboard stage production becomes the centre of a sabotage mystery after an accident sidelines its star. Suspicion grows, and Grover’s mother, Millicent, steps forward to uncover the culprit. Alongside Big Kev, a laid-back foil to her sharp instincts, she balances sleuthing with new personal discoveries.
