Keri Beevis

Keri Beevis is a British crime and psychological thriller writer, best known for The Summer House and The Sleepover. Her books have sold over half a million copies and have been translated into seven languages. In 2025, she published The House Sitter, a psychological thriller that follows the success of her previous Top 10 and Top 100 bestsellers.

Keri Beevis was born in Old Catton, a village in Norfolk near where Anna Sewell once lived. She was keenly interested in reading and writing from an early age. "I was always drawn to the darker side of fiction," Keri has said. Although she wrote her first novel at age twenty, she published it several years later. Her breakthrough came in 2012, when she won the New Novels Competition contract.

Her early titles include M for Murder and D for Dead, part of the Rebecca Angell series. She has also written standalone novels such as Trust No One, Every Little Breath and The People Next Door.

In 2019, she signed with Bloodhound Books. Her first release with them, Dying To Tell, set in her home county of Norfolk, became a bestseller, reaching the UK top 25 and number one in Australia. Deep Dark Secrets, her next title, was also an Amazon Top 100 hit.

Beevis joined Boldwood Books in 2021. Her debut with them, The Sleepover, was a top 10 bestseller in the UK. Next, it was followed by The Summer House, which became an international success. Several of her earlier works have been reissued by Boldwood, including The House in the Woods (2023), originally titled The Boat House, and Trust No One and Every Little Breath (2023). In 2024, Nowhere To Hide and The Cottage by the Sea both entered the top 100.

Her Boldwood titles alone sold over 500,000 copies.

In 2025, Beevis released The House Sitter, a thriller set in a luxury apartment complex. The story follows a woman who witnesses something disturbing during a power outage. A woman disappears, and the police dismiss the only witness.

"I know what I saw and can't let it go," insists the narrator. The book has been praised for its suspenseful atmosphere and allusions to Hitchcock's Rear Window.

Keri Beevis continues to live in Norfolk with her three cats and a steady supply of red wine. She enjoys horror films, live music, and competitive pub quizzes when not writing.
