You picked up this book because you want a business that pays every 7 days, not once. You have a mower, a phone, and will knock on 30 doors, and you want the plan that turns that into 20 weekly accounts. Or you tried lawn work and stalled because pricing and routing ate the profit. Whatever brought you here, you share a dream: a legal, insured, recurring route that earns $40 to $70 per yard and compounds each block.
This book is not a turf textbook and not a franchise needing $20,000. It is not a promise you will work less in month 1. What you need is a 30 day system that front loads legal and insurance, equips you lean, prices for profit, and puts you before neighbors when they need help.
Inside, you'll discover:
• Why grass is the ideal subscription: 30 cuts per year per yard beats 1 time jobs
• The 4 week roadmap: legal in days 1 to 3, insurance in days 4 to 6, gear in days 7 to 9
• Forming an LLC for $50 to $300, EIN at $0, and the $0 to $100 city license
• Coverage at $35 to $70 per month for liability and when $200 per month auto is required
• Gear math: $1,000 to $5,000 for a used commercial walk behind, $150 to $400 for trimmer and blower
• Pricing: breakeven on 10 visits at $50 if costs are $500, and the 10% prepay that boosts cash 25%
• Door hangers at $0.15 each and a $25 referral that turns 1 customer into 2
• Google posts of before and after photos that lift you into the map pack in 21 days
• Routing that groups 4 stops within 12 miles instead of 35 miles of driving
• The $1,000 starter fund for blades and fuel that prevents an $800 breakdown week
You will offer basic, standard, and premium packages, automate confirmations and invoices, and build a 12 month cash plan. With 40,000,000 acres of lawn needing weekly care, your block alone can carry a full route. If you want proof that motion beats planning, mow 10 lawns this week and learn more than 10 weeks of reading.
