Quite romantic, if you ask me.

Over the last however many years—since I first started coming here at the age of sixteen—I’ve garnered a… reputation.
In other words, they all think I’m a raging lunatic who should be locked away in some sort of asylum.

Not sure why, since I’m like a ray of fucking sunshine.

Stepping out of the shower, I wrap a towel around my body, dry off and go to grab my clothes—except I realize I didn’t bring them into the bathroom with me.

I’m in a world of my own as I exit the bathroom, but the clearing of a throat soon gets my attention. My head snaps up and my eyes clash with a brown pair that look so heated, they threaten to bring me to my knees.

“Look at me, angel,” I say softly, and her eyes meet mine. She looks nervous, a little curious but not mad. Thank fuck for that, I don’t know what the hell I would do if my angel was mad at me. I’m used to having people’s anger directed at me, but hers? I wouldn’t be able to take it.

If she was angry at me, she’d also be hurt—that’s just who she is—and if I hurt her? Well then, I’d just have to fucking punch myself.

“Let’s forget about what just happened, okay? I need to tell you about what I found out.”

“Okay,” she says softly, like the fucking sweetheart she is. “Tell me."

I open my mouth to reply but the words get caught in my throat.

This big scary Mafia man was worried I’d be scared if I woke up alone so he slept in a chair all night so he could be here for me.

I swear this man lives to surprise me.

“Thank you,” I whisper, and his lips tip up in a shy smile before he stands and stretches his arms wide. Clearly, he hasn’t been very comfortable.

“All good, angel. Now get dressed, I’m taking you out for breakfast,” he says as he walks towards me. He presses a kiss to my forehead and strolls out the room, leaving me to gape after him.

Once I’m showered and dressed for the day, I head out of the bedroom and find Enzo waiting for me in the kitchen with a coffee in a to-go cup. It doesn’t surprise me in the least that the man knows exactly how I take my coffee.

“Where are we going?” I ask as he helps me into my coat.

“A little diner just around the corner, I’ve been going there for years. You’ll love it.

We reach the bedroom, and he puts me down long enough to strip us both of our clothes before picking me back up and walking into the bathroom. He reaches into the shower and turns on the water, holding his hand out until he deems the water warm enough before stepping in, never letting me go in the process.

“I missed you today,” he murmurs as he gently pushes me against the wall and reaches up to adjust the shower head, making it so the water is hitting my front and so I don’t feel a chill.

His mouth attacks mine in a heated kiss, completely at odds to the way he’s holding me. He devours me like I’m his last meal while his hands creep up my body. His touch light as a feather as though I’m made of glass that will shatter any second.

“I know, angel. I know. You’re taking me so fucking well… Jesus, you feel so good. Fuck,” I curse as her walls pulse around me and she throws her head back in a silent scream.

Jesus, it’s the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen.

My own orgasm crashes through me and I groan her name as I empty myself inside her.

“Fucking hell. You’re so goddamn perfect,” I rasp as I slowly slide out of her. My heart drops as she winces when I do.

“What’s wrong? Are you okay? Fuck, was I too rough? Do you n—”

“I’m fine,” she says sleepily as she cups my face.

“I’m perfect. It was perfect, I’m just a little sore since it’s been a couple of weeks and you’re not exactly small.” She gives me a pointed look and I grin at her before climbing off the bed. I wet a washcloth and quickly clean us both up before climbing into bed beside her and pulling her into my chest.

“Love you angel,” I murmur
