Tara Lush

Tara Lush is an RWA Rita finalist, an Amtrak Writing Fellow, and winner of the George C. Polk Award for Environmental Journalism. She writes quirky, cosy mysteries with a sweet twist.

Lush writes the Coffee Lover's Mystery Series and the Devil's Beach Mystery Series, both set in the fictional town of Devil's Beach, Florida.

The Coffee Lover's Mystery Series features Lana Lewis, a former journalist turned barista and amateur sleuth. The first book in the series, Grounds for Murder, features humour and traditional mystery elements. Lush has said, "I knew I wanted the protagonist's voice to be light and funny, but I also wanted a legitimate mystery", highlighting her approach to mixing genres.

Her latest novel, Gator Queen (2024), blends cosy mystery with romance, catering to fans of light-hearted crime fiction.

Tara Lush lives in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
