Carmen Micsa

Carmen Micsa is an American-based creative nonfiction writer and poet. She is also the Broker/CEO of her own company Dynamic Real Estate.

Carmen Micsa was born and raised in Lugoj, Romania. In 1995 she moved to America and earned her BA and MA degrees in English from Sacramento State University.

Micsa debuted with a tennis book, Change Your Grip on Life Through Tennis, in 2016. Later she published two poetry books, The Poetics of Running, A Book of Poetry in Motion (2020), and Morsels of Love, A Book of Poetry and Short Form (2021).

In 2022, Micsa published the anthology Holistic Journey Towards Wellness with 20 other authors with essays on positivity, health, fitness, and cooking.

She also published articles in a few local and national publications and a memoir piece Grandpa's Garden in the anthology, From Sac Home Myths & Other Untruths, with some of her graduate school classmates.

She is working on her memoir about fighting in the 1989 revolution and the lessons she learned growing up in communism. Micsa is also an avid marathon runner who ran 14 marathons, including London, Boston, New York, and Chicago.

Carmen Micsa lives with her family in Sacramento, CA.
