The Tinsel-Tape Thief

A Holiday Tale of Sacred Timing, Sealed Surprise, and the Communion of Unbroken Bonds

Welcome to Evergleam—The Tinsel Town of Modest Gift-Givings and Merriment—where wonder is not rushed, but wrapped… and where every gift is a promise waiting for its proper time.

In this second Dr. Seuss–themed verse and chapter tale—of its ilk, silk, snick and snortish kind—readers are invited into a shimmering world powered by Xaxspera, the self-repairing energy of wonder, memory, and restoration. Here, tinsel hums, tape remembers, and the Golden Wreath keeps the sacred circle of giving unbroken.

But what happens when the very thing that holds joy together… disappears?

When all the tape in Evergleam vanishes before Christmas night, the town begins to unravel. Secrets slip. Surprises fade. And the cented hope of the season trembles on the edge of being undone.

At the center of it all is the Tinsel-Tape Maker—a brilliant craftsman of binding beauty, whose tapes seal not just paper, but patience itself. Loved for his work but unknown in his heart, he lives as Evergleam’s only uncented soul, quietly wondering if his place in the circle has been stolen.

Driven by a longing he cannot name, and a question he cannot quiet, he sets out to reclaim what he believes was taken—unwittingly threatening the very communion he once held together.

Yet in a world where wrapping is reverence and waiting is holy, a deeper truth begins to unfold:

That not all that feels missing has been stolen.

That not all that is hidden is meant to be found too soon.

And that what holds us together is not the stick…

but the spirit that stays.

With playful rhyme, Pairedolian language, and a hush of myth beneath its music, The Tinsel-Tape Thief is a luminous holiday chapter book about sacred timing, unseen bonds, and the quiet miracle of restoration.

Because sometimes, the greatest gift…

is learning why it was wrapped at all.
