She nodded, her eyes wide. I tipped my jaw down to meet hers in a gentle, warm embrace that lit a fire in my soul. Time stopped. Nothing mattered in this moment but us.

"What mistake?" she asked, trying to compose herself.

"Leaving in the first place," I said with a grin, offering my hand to dance.
