Suzy England is an American author of women's fiction and romance. She writes heartfelt love stories with an emotional focus.
Suzy England was born in Austin, Texas. She now lives in Houston with her husband. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. She retired from public education in 2022 after teaching for twenty-six years.
England began writing as a child, starting with a poem in first grade. She fell for Judy Blume's fiction by third grade. In high school, she wrote her own version of Thornton Wilder's Our Town. Her teacher later taught it as a companion text for years.
Suzy England set writing aside during college, marriage, and motherhood. As she approached forty, her creative drive returned strongly. She wrote a novel of nearly 280,000 words during this period. She then began writing shorter, more conventional love stories.
England found early success on the reading platforms Wattpad and Yonder. Her stories there reached millions of readers worldwide. She was also a top twenty-five finalist in Harlequin's So You Think You Can Write contest. She has written pieces for Amazon Prime Video and BookTrib as well.
In 2022, England signed two publishing contracts with The Wild Rose Press. She was then invited to join the Tall Poppy Writers. The group is a cross-genre, cross-publisher collective of female authors. She also belongs to the Women's Fiction Writers Association.
In 2026, England published Unmasking Mr. Crown through Next Chapter. The novel follows Natalie Powell, recently returned from London. She faces a failed business venture and a difficult breakup. She returns home determined to launch her own event planning company.
Natalie organises her father's milestone birthday gala as her chance at redemption. The guest list includes potential investors for her new venture. Every detail of the event is under her tight control. Then Dash Benning arrives as a guest at the party.
Natalie had shared one unforgettable night with Dash months earlier. Their encounter took place in a dimly lit London pub. Neither had shared their real names at the time. Now Dash appears on the arm of Natalie's older sister.
Natalie must navigate ambition, loyalty, and unresolved longing at once. She faces a difficult choice about her sister and her business. Author Kristy Woodson Harvey praised the novel highly. She called it "witty, warm, and wildly romantic."
Suzy England continues to write full time from her home in Houston.
