Moonlight & Mistletoe is a Christian Fiction love story. It is an easy read and contains a special 15-page Gallery of Christian Poems to encourage the reader in his or her faith.
The story is about a journal written in the 1800s as a keepsake and passed down through family members. It was a tribute to Mike and Laura Travis for their love for God and each other. It’s now in the hands of Jim and Mary Travis in the year 2020.
Mike and Laura Travis were married in August of 1870. Their married life together spanned 50-years and included the Civil War, the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, WWI, the sinking of the Titanic, the inventions of the airplane, automobile, the radio, the light bulb and many other life-changing products.
Both couples enjoyed swinging on the same farmhouse porch. The swing was a new addition in 1870 and an antique in 2020. Mike and Laura use the swing to look back over the years and forward into the future. They also loved to cuddle in the moonlight and swing together at the end of the day.
Jim and Mary used the swing in 2020 to look back into the past through the pages of the journal to find their place in the generations of the Travis family. The swing would prove to be the place where both couples could draw closer to God and each other.
The discourse between Mike and Laura will call attention to social issues and the Bible in a very gentle presentation. However, the journal will become a testimony to Jim and Laura. They will discover, “God’s Will” and things to avoid in their generation.
