The Iceglass Shard

In the kingdom of Glacis, a land forged from the delicate dance of ice and fire, the life-giving frostfire is fading, leaving behind a chilling stillness that threatens to consume all.  Sixteen-year-old Kira Alarie, ostracized for the forbidden flicker of fire within her, holds the key to Glacis’s salvation: the Iceglass Shard, an artifact whispered to contain the essence of the extinct frostfire phoenix.

Together, they embark on a perilous journey through whispering frost forests and across glacial plains haunted by spectral ice wraiths, echoes of a dying world.  Their path intertwines with Lila Moreau, a young hunter bound to the Frostcourt by blood and secrets, who uncovers a devastating truth: the Frostcourt itself is responsible for the phoenix’s extinction, a desperate act of grief that has now set the kingdom on a path to icy ruin.
Drawn to the Iceheart Caverns, a realm of perpetual twilight and ancient power, Kira discovers the true legacy of the phoenix: not a force of destruction, but a source of renewal.  Within the crystalline depths, she awakens the frostfire dragons, the phoenix’s ancient guardians, and learns to control the volatile energy within her, her own frostfire blossoming into a unique blend of ice and fire.  But Valerius and the Frostguard are closing in, setting the stage for a final confrontation that will determine Glacis’s fate.
Within the heart of the caverns, a battle erupts, not just for the future of Glacis, but for the very essence of balance. Kira, Eirik, and Lila, their individual journeys culminating in a shared purpose, must confront Valerius and his icy forces.
