    🎯Worthwhile

caution: this time it will be again the case for me to show my deep admiration for books over movies. nothing new, i’d say!

well, i know it’s pretty silly to be pissed off on the movie series for not fully covering the book. directors were limited in screen time, so they had to chose what to cut off from the plot and what to film. i think though that there might have been wrong choices. i would cut off some scenes and add those which were truly eye-opening and awakening for me.

i liked that sirius (do you remember, it was one of my favourite characters?) had shown his true affection and care for harry as the godfather and appeared more often in the book than it was shown in the movie. i was also absolutely astonished by the final scene of sirius and severus. nice touch!

i was glad to receive more details about the voldemort’s early life and find out the likely reasons he got for his hatred and willingness to possess the dark power.

i was also truly shocked to find out the information about neville’s parents. and as a fact, i deeply believe that the confrontation between dumbledore and fudge concerning the unbelief of the latter in voldemort’s return hadn’t been given enough attention on the screen. it matters and perhaps will show its importance in the following book.

“It’s a bit funny, isn’t it, that he can’t manage to come to the Yule Ball, but he can get up here in the middle of the night when he wants to?”

The twins turned. Harry pulled open his trunk and drew out his Triwizard winnings.

“Take it,” he said, and he thrust the sack into George’s hands.

    “What?” said Fred, looking flabbergasted.

“Take it,” Harry repeated firmly. “I don’t want it.”

“You’re mental,” said George, trying to push it back at Harry.

“No, I’m not,” said Harry. “You take it, and get inventing. It’s for the joke shop.”

“He is mental,” Fred said in an almost awed voice.

“Listen,” said Harry firmly. “If you don’t take it, I’m throwing it down the drain. I don’t want it and I don’t need it. But I could do with a few laughs. We could all do with a few laughs. I’ve got a feeling we’re going to need them more than usual before long.”

in the light of Lord Voldemort’s return, we are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.
