About the Author
Carla Runner began her career in property management at just 20-years-old, working her way up from a maintenance clerk to managing properties with over 700 apartments. After dedicating 36 years to the industry, she retired at 56 and pursued her passion for baking, launching a successful pie and cookie business.
In 1990, Carla married Mark, and together they balanced demanding careers while raising their three children—Angela, Jordan, and Jesse. Throughout the years, their faith remained a central part of their lives, as they regularly attended church and sang on the worship team for three decades.
Now enjoying retirement in the beautiful Sequatchie Valley of Tennessee, Carla and Mark spend their days hiking and taking scenic motorcycle rides. They share their home with Mark’s mother, Bonnie, and have always had a soft spot for Sheltie rescue dogs.
