The Eagle’s Visit is the result of documenting oral traditions shared by Colleen Mustus, a Cree woman from northern Alberta. When Ty receives a visit from an Eagle, he knows this is a special moment. His Grandfather is a respected Elder who teaches him the traditional meaning about the eagle. Ty’s grandfather explains how the eagle's body parts represent components in life. Each body part teaches life skills such as being gentle, considering the whole family and avoiding greed. These life skills will help him soar to great heights. Ty learns that the feather the eagle brought to him is an important message about his transition from boyhood to manhood.
