In the rain-swept shadows of Seattle, forensic psychologist Dr. Adrienne Hayes navigates the fragile psyches of her patients, her empathy a finely tuned instrument. Detective Christopher Brown, a jaded homicide investigator, enters Adrienne’s life, drawn to her unique perspective. Together, they descend into a rabbit hole of forensic analysis and psychological profiles, their pursuit of the truth growing increasingly dangerous.  Adrienne realizes she is not just hunting a killer, but is also being hunted, trapped in a terrifying game of cat and mouse where the lines between therapist and patient, investigator and suspect, become devastatingly blurred. 
As she gets closer to the truth, Adrienne uncovers a web of hidden connections and carefully constructed alibis, leading her to a shocking discovery: the killer is not just a predator, but a puppet master, someone intimately familiar with her past, manipulating her, using her own expertise against her.  In a heart-pounding climax, Adrienne must confront her own vulnerabilities and lure the perpetrator into a trap, a final, deadly session where the secrets of the patient list will finally be revealed.  But the truth, when it comes, will shatter everything she thought she knew, leaving her forever changed by the darkness she has uncovered.
