In the year 2066, New California has split from the United States to create a “decolonized” utopia built on the principles of Anti-Racism and Social Justice. Nineteen-year-old Quinceton Rift navigates this brave new world where identity determines status, speech is strictly regulated, and government-sanctioned “cancellations” are public spectacle.

When Quinceton is deployed to the militarized Nevada border as a sniper, he witnesses the catastrophic Battle of South Lake Tahoe—a suicide mission engineered by the ruling class. Surviving against all odds, he begins to question the rigid ideology that governs his society. His journey takes him from the oppressive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Camps to hidden communities in the mountains, where he discovers people living free from identity politics.

As San Francisco prepares for the prestigious SOMA MOMA Momalla Gala, tensions between rival factions threaten to erupt. Caught between the ruling Anti-Racists and the ambitious Anti-Anti-Anti-Racists who enforce the law, Quinceton must decide where his loyalties lie. With the help of Natalie, a woman trapped in the inner circle of power, and his long-lost father, he joins a resistance movement determined to expose the hypocrisy at the heart of this supposedly equitable society.

“Wokelynd” is a provocative exploration of how good intentions can lead to authoritarian control, and how authentic human connection might be our only salvation from ideological extremism.

If you enjoyed “1984,” “Brave New World,” and “The Mandibles,” you'll love “Wokelynd.”
