The Aesthetics of Old Chickens

THE AESTHETICS OF OLD CHICKENS
A booklet with poems and nursery rhymes, evoking princesses, images of the daily life and funny chickens.
The author, Nerina Tuft, has a passion for chickens, for writing and drawing. From the preface book: “In the order of life, there are several things that we have in common. Among these are the minutiae of the everyday life, quick images that flow around us so frequently that they often go unnoticed. Yet, who has not lingered with their eyes or thoughts in any of these? Looking out of the windows of a train and getting lost in one's own thoughts, memories and regrets that unfold when opening an old box with buttons, trees with dry, naked branches like hands stretched to the sky in winter, the scent of incense from a church, the hectic runs of a hen looking for food, disappointments, small joys and great sorrows. A collage of images and glimpses into the minutiae of living, an aesthetic of dimpled paws peeking out from the frame of elegant snow princesses”. The book is enriched with Nerina's drawings inspired from the texts she wrote.
A pleasant, simple reading about the minutiae of everyday life, enriched with lovely artworks.
