Mrs. Barratt is a long time resident of a Palm Springs nursing home; suffering from a fading memory, alone without family or visitors.
One chilly November day, she receives an unannounced visitor. He is also very much alone and feels he can bring her out of her loneliness by being her regular visitor and become her close friend.
In between helping her with her meals, he loves to talk; she likes to listen. He talks in such a heartfelt way that he thinks he is enabling her to remember and be transported back fifty years to her lost youth and relive the magic that once was.
