Bloodhound in the Sahara

2. BLOODHOUND IN THE SAHARA — SAHARA DESERT SERIES

Deep within the merciless Sahara, where loyalty is but a chimera, the American Foreign Legionnaire, Tex, harbours a singular objective, vengeance. He hunts the unscrupulous former Nazi general, Herman Sturmer, who bears his brother’s blood upon his hands. Yet, the desert is a veritable crucible of peril. Whilst Arab tribes, under the leadership of Abdul el Nouhas, rise against the French, Tex finds himself pursued by Legion traitors, spearheaded by the brutal Le Clerq, who are bent on his demise.

Meanwhile, his compatriots, including the journalist Monica, who possesses incriminating photographs of Sturmer, await him at the remote oasis of Bir Khoela, blissfully oblivious to the twofold menace converging upon them. Tex’s path intersects with unforeseen allies. The spirited Arab maiden, Mahfra, and the noble sheikh’s son, Brahim. It swiftly escalates into a desperate race against time, fraught with merciless adversaries and the implacable desert. From dilapidated fortresses to hostile desert tribes, every moment is a bitter struggle for survival. The tension culminates at a treacherous mountain pass, where they are ensnared between Le Clerq’s mutineers and Sturmer’s bloodthirsty horde. In an audacious manoeuvre, Tex dramatically turns the tables, taking his archenemy captive.

With Sturmer in chains and an arduous four-hundred-mile trek across the Libyan desert looming, the battle, however, is far from won. The Sahara does not forgive, and Sturmer is already engineering his escape. Will Tex and his band of survivors attain justice, or will the endless dunes become their final resting place?
