    💞Loved Up

This book portrays how The Depression really did hit America and how finding jobs was now not easy. I felt sympathy for Lennie because of his 'conditions' because he just liked stroking soft items but despite this, George was still there for him when the others thought he was nothing but dumb. Their friendship was rather charming and funny; George scowling at him when he did stupid things (which was lot) but still let him have the idea of rabbits when they get their own ranch.

It’s not a book, it’s a good analysis of this story, useful for english literature classes.

Quotes

Curley is the bully of the ranch. Compensation for his size; he is referred to, by Candy, as

“scrappy”. Always trying to pick fights with those bigger than he is to prove himself.

“The book is Steinbeck's statement of the pain of human loneliness and the struggle of man to find a home within the "fat of the land."”
  • talithahas quoted2 years ago
Carlson is the type of man George wants to avoid becoming.
