Definitions are such a hassle sometimes when there’s a debate or argument. We may be fighting over a point and realize that we’re not even debating on the same point. I always try to set boundaries and make it clear what we’re arguing about so we can end up with a clear resolution. With how accessible information is, there’s bound to be misinformation. With more misinformation, ideas can be construed. I’m not saying that you can’t form your own opinions but if there’s incorrect information, your opinion is unrelated because it’s not the right information.
This is a really good point. If there’s ever an eye opening statistic, you should always ask, how in the fuck did they do that? Then do your research of course. Most people don’t care enough about statistics they see unless it affects them.
The author makes a point of asking how they would know the person is gay or lesbian based of a dead corpse, but it’s simple, you ID their body and talk to people who were close to them. Now if it was a suicide and the person is unidentifiable then yeah author wins the argument.
